Adventure time in the nature and park

In touch with nature

Currently only 31% of the whole land space in the world is taken up by a woodland and for England on its own this number is only 10%. That is a shame considering trees and woodland create homes for number of species of wildlife, provides nourishment, converts carbon dioxide into oxygen, prevents flooding and even can save us money when planted close to our homes. I found this especially interesting - when trees are planted near buildings they can reduce air conditioning usage by 30% and heating usage by 20-50% (reported by The Guardian). Sounds amazing right?! Especially now when all our bills are through the roof.

It is true that there are many trying to do good and so many trees getting replanted every year by volunteers, large corporations, nature enthusiasts. Companies are getting consulted by environmentalists and given (hopefully) best advice on how to adjust their functioning to be more sustainably friendly. However, do enough people think about their contribution? Do we think we should have more education? More information on what we can personally do, even little steps we could take every day or even once a month?

Either way I know we are all so busy rushed off our feet in the modern world. This fast paced living, constantly hurrying us along and we just about manage to look at the road we are on to make sure we are heading the right way. It isn’t easy to also try and solve world's problems too. However, if now and again we make a little effort to be more nature friendly we will be creating a better life for us and our children.
